Teaching Assistant (TA3) – Level 3 (39 weeks plus 2 weeks in school holidays)

Grade 5 Teaching and Learning – ICT responsibility

Piper Hill is a school for pupils aged 11 – 19 years with severe learning difficulties.

We are currently looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who will support and promote the development of ICT throughout the school.  The post holder will support teachers in their delivery of ICT lessons across school and will have a range of ICT specific skills on the PCs and MACs such as video editing.  They will also be involved in setting up and running an in school radio station and be involved with music technology across the school.  The main purpose of this role is to support an innovative approach to ICT for young people with severe and profound learning difficulties and to enhance lessons led by teachers.  The successful applicant must be able to work effectively with the whole school including Governors, staff and pupils.  They will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be selected for interview.  The school is committed to the safeguarding of children and young people.   Applicants must be prepared to undergo stringent child protection screening including checks with past employers and an enhanced CRB is required.  We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.
